I remember the good old days. The days when I used to live in the real world. You know - live, love, laugh. With real, physical people. But that was then ... and this is now.
Due to some odd quirk of fate, I stumbled upon online poker and things seemed to gently slip away. Before I knew it, I was hooked on played every single online poker tournament I could find from the comfort of my desktop.
Whilst the real world passed my by ... wife, life and the cat ... I found myself becoming more and more immersed in the horribly addictive virtual world I'd stumbled onto. I used my ability to multi-task to play three games at once. My skills as a logistician to source the best poker tournaments.
Hey even my job in human resources came in handy. I felt at ease everytime the tables got switched and I have to deal with new opponents. And now I sit, no wife, no cat, no beer. But ... I've always got Poker.
And to be honest - it's exciting, addictive and on occasion gives me some cold hard cash. Which is more than I can say for the wife ...
ahahah... keep it up, sarge ;)
